/
REVERSE NATURE
From 22 to 30 September
Tuesday / Sunday 4.30pm 8.30pm
OPENING Thursday 22 September from 18:30
“I am looking for another form of beauty, the non-manifest one” M.B.
Myriam Bottazzi's contemporary jewels arise from the intimate need to seek a personal version of beauty, asymmetrical and imperfect. Poetics and experience in a new narration that does not end, constantly renewing itself in the emotional encounter with those who will wear her jewels.
The protagonists of the creative act are sequins, a privileged material for experimentation, a ductile substance in the hands of the artist who becomes a signifying sign. Deprived of their dazzling and ephemeral expressiveness, they become the means to reach a deeper and more material stage of beauty with refined imperfections.
Carved, folded, they become branches of coral, flowering shoots and inflorescences from the ethereal collection of Aspecific Paillettes, dreamlike creatures by Myriam Bottazzi. The Natura Inversa project, an ancestral reference to the origins of the Earth, therefore revising the concept of artifice in the encounter with the natural matrix. The hope of the present in the liberation of the past that generates new existence.
Natura Inversa is inspired by the fossil nature that is reborn, sprouts and flourishes again.
The irruption, in contrast, of the human that gives life back to what he was. Where the sequin-splinters take on the sheen of porcelain or the opacity of coal in the vines that support agate geodes, or quartz points. The "alienation" of matter makes the artist's articulated creations of an introspective beauty, with an unconventional shape that once worn becomes symbiotic.

NATURA INVERSA
rifiorisce.
